Italian Trip

So, I'm just back from a quick four day trip in Tucany, Italy. While driving around Chianti country looking for somewhere to eat I spotted this series three LI sitting outside a Deli in the Piazza Mercato in 'Greve in Chianti'.

I had a quick chat with the owner in my broken Italian. I asked if I could take some photos and showed him a snap of my Lambretta on my iPhone. He wanted to know where I was from and how long I had had my lammy. The Deli was kinda cool too, w...

Bent lambretta forks...poor old Billy has been having a right mare of it recently with his wobbly scooter. I asked him to sum up the recent issues he has had.....Some words from Billy-No-Mates...

Who'd have though it would take several months to sort out a couple of bent forks...anyway...

Having fallen off and bent the forks on my SX150 I though it was probably time to sort out the slightly wobbly forks on my SX200 as well. Or was it the frame???

What a minefie...

Weds 28th July

Posted by bristollambretta on August 9, 2010 at 7:15 AM Comments comments (1)

This week I have mostly been playing the jetting game, as the warm weather did not agree with my carb. As you can see it has been fun. I may have cracked it now after a few bottles of vino and a bag or two of bombay mix!

This has meant that I was able to do a little more work on the Carb Jets section of the website.

A couple of us met for coffee on Gloucester rd first, after a quick refuel we decided to go for a spin and ended up at the water tower cafe on the downs. After a spot of lunch we swing by the sea wall for an ice cream where we were joined by a nice bunch of scooter riders from South Bristol. It was good to see so many scooters out enjoying the sun!

A few Lambretta owners met up for a coffee or two in Bristol last Sunday..As you can see there were a few really great examples out. Scooters that it!

It was good to catch up with some of you at the Avenue Cafe in Queens square on Sunday. Always good to see so many great scoots out. So real quality turned out.

Nathan was picking up his SX from Paul at Get Smart, so decided to pop round. It was a little over cast so we settled for coffee in the garden. Before too long the sun started to poke through the cloud cover and it started to look like it might become another great day. After a quick call to Chris, who was keen to try out his recent purchase of a Malossi powered T5 me and Nath found ourselves heading out into the sunshine with a trip over ...

Friday 18th June - DYNO DAY

Posted by bristollambretta on June 26, 2010 at 9:23 AM Comments comments (0)

I had a phone call from Shaun asking me if I was interested in joining him for a day playing with scooters on the dyno at readspeed. Well how could I say no to an offer like that. Come the morning I head off up the M5, as I have arranged to meet Shaun and his mate at the services and then jump in with them for the rest of the journey.

We were about 30 mins late getting there, but it didn't seem to matter as its all pretty laid back when we arrive. So this gave us time to hav...
